Andrea Katz
Assembly
“During my life, I’ve experienced hardships and understand how families need affordable healthcare, good public schools for their children, job opportunities, and smart public policy to address our affordability crisis. As a mother of three turned public policy advocate, I know that meaningful change is possible. As a state lawmaker, I a problem solver focused on making life better for you, my neighbor.”

Our Commitment to You
Making South Jersey more affordable
The costs of groceries, utilities, housing, gas, healthcare, and many essential items continue to rise, and together, Andrea and Anthony will fight to make South Jersey more affordable with innovative policies and reduce the tax burden on seniors and working families. In the Assembly, Andrea has taken on the Board of Public Utilities, is fighting against skyrocketing electricity prices, and has been tenacious in lowering costs. Andrea and Anthony have championed support for Stay New Jersey to provide a 50% property tax credit for seniors and the state’s ANCHOR program, which offers homeowners and renters property tax relief up to $1,500 annually.
Standing Up for Our Public Schools
Andrea (education advocate) and Anthony (career educator) are parents who believe quality education starts with fully funding our public schools, universal pre-K, public universities, and community colleges to give students access to affordable education and skills that prepare them for the global workplace. New Jersey must continue investment in public education to ensure every child has a chance to succeed, which requires upgrades, repairs, and modernization of our schools to provide the best learning environment. It is imperative for long-term student success to provide universal pre-k because children learn best when they are young in these critically critical developmental years, and we need to provide the resources to get students on the right track for success.
Supporting South Jersey’s Economy
Andrea and Anthony know that small businesses are the backbone of our economy and communities. To support a thriving economy, we must ensure businesses can succeed while supporting our workforce. We can achieve this by providing incentives for job creation and capital investment, disbursing financial resources for small businesses, and investing in local tourism, historical, and agricultural industries. We must continue to put forth sound policies and provide comprehensive economic incentives to prioritize investments in high-growth sectors and create viable job opportunities to position South Jersey as an innovation and economic opportunity leader.
Protecting Our Health Care and Reproductive Freedom
Andrea and Anthony will fight for our right to affordable, accessible health care, including mental and behavioral health services, and lower prescription drug costs while always protecting against attacks on women’s reproductive rights. In the Assembly, Andrea Katz has been at the forefront of protecting access to essential services as they authored a resolution to advance a national constitutional amendment that would enshrine abortion and in vitro fertilization (IVF) access into the law of the land.
